.Rock.Climbing.

i look up at the tall wall with colorful and shapeful rocks, determined to climb it to the top.
i make sure my awkward but life saving harness is secure and i begin my climb.
taking time to place my feet steadily on the sometimes too small of rocks.
but also trying to hurry and pull myself to the top. adrenaline taking over.
as i get higher and higher my hands start to sweat, making my grip more unsure as i look for another rock to help me achieve my goal.
my arms aching, but needing to hold on.
20 feet? 30 feet? how high was I?
getting stuck, and searching frantically for a solution. listening to helpful guidence from my peers down below.
nervous. nervous for falling. scared. but wanting to finish. pushing through.
reaching the top and hitting the bar. success. a rush a relief floods over me.
i happily repel down.

Talent Days. enough said.

today we finally had Talent Days!! our last talent days with this choir.
and after changing our song 4 times we ended up performing "Hoedown Throwdown" and it was amazing!!! :)
i had an amazing time practicing and hanging out with my group.
pop it, lock it, polka-dot it, country-fy it then hip hop it! put your hawk in the sky, move side to side. jump to the left, stick it...gliiide!!
thats a memory not to be forgotten.

thursday. it was a good one.

yesterday was amazing in my opinion.

it started getting good around second period. geography. now, usually i do not enjoy that class, but we were watching a movie, (well we were supposed to) and me and a couple awesome friends passed notes and created m.a.s.h.'s   (for those of you you have not heard of this, it is a great game of creativity that determines your future!) .

then it was math for flex. i know what your thinking. of all the places to have fun, Algebra 2?? but surprisingly i had fun! and learning some exciting, yet strangely disturbing news about my math teacher. she has a tramp stamp on her back!! weird? YES!! especially for a unmarried 30-40 year old woman who does math for fun. don't get me wrong i love Ms. Jones, but really?

then it was time for seminary, which never fails to be amazing. we learned about a few of the latter-day prophets. we also do spotlights everyday, and i was spotlighted! which resulted in me getting a treat! i chose a Reese's peanut butter cup and through much self discipline was able to save it for lunch.
speaking of lunch, that was probably the highlight of my day!!! it all started when i stood in line with ... what shall we call him?... the perfect boy? the one who never fails to cheer you up? the one who could very well be constantly on your mind? the one who is a gentleman in every way? the one who makes you blush when he gives you one of his perfect smiles? yeah that one. well, so i was standing in line with this certain perfect boy. but i didn't want our conversation to end there, so i asked if i could sit next to him at lunch. he smiled and nodded. we walked over to where he usually sits only to find that there is absolutely no room. so we walk over to where i usually sit.  trying to ignore some glares of my usual lunch company as i lead him to the table. once we were done eating, he threw away my tray for me. (which gave me butterflies) and then we walked together out into the hall to the usual spot where we all get together and socialize/play games/tease/flirt whatever you want to call it. :) :) where me and Mady taught the boys how to do a few hand clapping games!

next period was chamber choir. definitely one of the best classes ever!! all of my best friends are in that class. and we are planning out final Talent Days (you get in a group, you choose a song, and you perform/dance like crazy! well, that what we do, but some other people take it a little bit more serious.) our group this last term, consists of all girls. though usually preferred to get in a group with guys, we decided it would be more fun to do an all girl group!

after school i walked to cassidy's house. where we ate food. watched "prison break". ran to the high school with a soccer ball. played soccer for a bit. went to the rec center. ran home (her house). made a protein shake. and then finished up by playing dance central on the x-box connect!!
next was YW's. simply dodge ball with the young men. which really means all the girls stand in the back and occasionally dodge a stray ball that got past the boys. :) but then we played basketball!! which is a sport you cant pass up an opportunity to play!!

and my amazingly wonderful day ended with a long hot shower and catching up with my sister.
why cant all days be like this?

a Reason to Smile.

I wondered for so long,
What reason you had to smile that long,
To keep smiling though troubles come,
And still remain sweet and silently overcome,

It's such a mystery to me,
Your smiles from heaven with glee,
I adore and yet envy thee,
But I'd rather you smile those at me,

I feel happy when i see you smile,
Even if I'm sad and lonely,
Your smiles bring me somewhere,
I dont even know where.

But it was you.
you gave me the reason to smile,
to smile with no reason,
to smile for a smile.

I guess life is just like that,
we need not a reason to smile.
For a smile is the reason itself,
To rejoice and open-heartedly give thanks.

i learned to smile because of you,
Because your smiles bring me joy when blue,
It proves how well and powerful
a simple, sweet smile can become so beautiful.

Smile for the sake of a smile.
Smile for the sake of happiness.
Smile for the sake of life.
Smile because of hope left in life.

Smile my friends.
Smile for me my Love,
Smile those same sweet smiles.
Smile so the world can be a peaceful dove....

I read this poem and it reminded me of so many people.
My friends. who are always there. no matter what. and cheer me up when i am having a bad day. most of my good memories are with friends. best friends. they make me smile.
The one perfect boy. with the perfect smile. who you look forward to seeing at school. and you cant help but to smile when they are around.
My family. sharing smiles for life.

To Kill A Mockingbird

for those of you who have not had the privalage to read this book,
"To Kill a Mockingbird", i recomend it.
we have been reading it in my English class and recently we finished.
Its a really good book and has a great message!
I thought I wouldn't like it, but I did!
And so, for English we had to do an "anything project".
Where we can choose whatever we want for a project related to the book.
a movie, a report, a drawing, a cake.
Anything.
 I decided to sew/cross-stitch a pillow.
I think it is pretty creative! I like it alot!
I cant wait for tomorrow to see everyone else's projects!!

this friday night....

after school, on friday, i walked to my bestie, rachel's house! where we made POM J's!!(orange Julius, but with Peach, Orange, Mango juice instead!) but this time with a twist!
pom j. ras-bay!!(peach, orange, mango juice with frozen raspberries and blueberries!!!) its a little thing we do. we basked in the sunshine while we indulged our delicious and creative beverage! and of course, rachel got tanner and i got sunburnt! :) :) and then we were off to BYU to drop off her sister, elizabeth, for her dance class! me and the gorgeous rachel walked around while we waited. we looked at plenty of pictures of athletes. and from the vending machine we got a butterfinger ice cream thing, a pizza hot pocket, and ...COOKIES'N'CREAM MILK!!!! yes, i said cookies and cream!! it was really good!!! and after that adventure we were off to rachel's twin cousins' dance show! eliana and thea!! (not sure on spelling?) they are so cute! and after playing with them on the grass, and taking pictures! we went out for ice cream!! i got chocolate, rachel gor mint'n'chip, thea got chocolate, and eli got vanilla!!! talk about a great day!

rachel, eli, thea, and clavin

"who is this?" - a certain boy
"guess:)"
"umm... give me a hint"
"brunette"
"ok any more"
"um.. i am at a soccer game."
"oh!! sarah!! duh."
and it continues into a very cute conversation!

NOTES.

notes.
girls love them. write them. pass them. fold them.
notes.
we do it all the time. its another way of talking to your besties.
notes.
doodling and folding and getting quite creative.
notes.
letting all the girls know how perfect and gorgeous they are.
notes.
making plans and telling secrets.
notes.
I LOVE THEM!!
but you try to give one to a boy,
and you think it would be amazingly cute if he wrote back,
but he doesn't.
in fact, he says he thinks notes are dumb and he doesn't write them.
then you feel like loser for ever even giving one to him.
why cant boys just write? no need to get creative. just write back.
notes.

the final concert

this past thursday we (chamber choir) had our final concert of the year. this was the last time we would sing together for our parents. it has been an amazing year! filled with concerts, festivals, tours, hockey and basketball games, new friends! and plenty of great memories! i loved choir! and i am sad that some are not going to continue with choir...
for our last song we combined with the womens/concert/mens choir and sang you raise me up. in the middle of the song there were a few kids that would dedicate the song to a loved one. some of the dedications got to me and made me tear up. and afterwards when some of my best friends were crying, it took alot of me to not burst out in tears with them.
after all the hugs and tears and socializing i went home. and dreamed about...yes, choir! :)

There is Sunshine in my Soul today!

AHHH!!! i am soo happy, it really made my day when i could walk home in shorts and not be freezing!! and then i worked on homework OUTSIDE on the grass with my besties!! it was amazing!! :) :) it reminds me of a song we are singing in choir...There is Sunshine in my Soul Today. though its not the hymn, its a gospel version!! and it is so much fun to sing and it has crazy harmony!
just thought i would share that with you.
